Our approach
We want people with disabilities to be able to access the same public information and core actions available to other visitors. Accessibility is considered during design, implementation, testing, and later changes rather than being treated solely as a final overlay.
Current practices
Current design and engineering practices include:
- semantic HTML and meaningful heading structure;
- keyboard-accessible navigation and interactive controls;
- visible focus treatment for interactive elements;
- responsive layouts intended to reflow on smaller screens;
- text alternatives or accessible equivalents for meaningful visual information;
- contrast-conscious text and control styling;
- reduced-motion behavior when a user requests reduced motion;
- accessible alternatives to pointer-only interaction, including keyboard control of the homepage cube; and
- form labels, required-field indicators, validation messages, and status messaging.
Standards and testing
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is a design target and reference point for the public Site where reasonably applicable. A statement of target or an automated test result is not a warranty that every page, browser, assistive technology, or future change will be perfectly conformant.
We use a combination of automated checks, browser testing, keyboard testing, responsive review, and manual inspection appropriate to the Site. Automated tools can identify important problems but cannot prove complete accessibility by themselves.
Third-party content and services
Some linked third-party sites, embedded services, or external documents may be controlled by other providers and may not meet the same accessibility practices. We do not control those third-party experiences, but we can evaluate alternatives when a third-party dependency creates a material barrier in a core #Dobro workflow.
Report an accessibility issue
If a barrier prevents you from accessing information or completing a core action on the Site, submit an Accessibility issue through our Legal / Privacy Request form. Please identify the page, the barrier, the assistive technology or browser if relevant, and the information or action you were trying to access.
We will review credible accessibility reports and prioritize fixes based on severity, reproducibility, user impact, and technical feasibility.
